Manchester United are lining-up a deal for Turkish playmaker Hakan Çalhanoğlu
The 26-year-old is into the last year of his current deal with AC Milan, and although he has been offered a new contract to stay at the San Siro he is unhappy about the Serie A club’s latest offer of £2.8 million a season.
Spying an opportunity, United are alleged to have offered him a lucrative five-year deal to switch to the Premier League instead.
Çalhanoğlu, along with the rest of his side, has made a fine start to the new season, scoring four goals, and providing four assists in eight games played in all competitions so far.
He was actually born in Germany, although he is of Turkish descent, and joined AC Milan in 2017 from Bayer Leverkusen in a deal worth up to £20 million.
He has since gone on to play for them 137 times, scoring 27 goals. In addition, he has 50 senior caps for Turkey.
