Liverpool are the latest team to send scouts to watch 17-year old Icelandic midfielder Isak Bergmann Johannesson.
Manchester United and Juventus are among the other top clubs in Europe to track the player, who currently plays for the Swedish side IFK Norrköping, where he has already made a big impression this season, scoring three goals and providing eight assists in the Allsvenskan.
The teenager was actually born in England, the son of former player Joey Gudjonnesson, who had spells with Aton Villa, Wolves, Leicester, Burnley, and Huddersfield Town. And his grandfather Gudjon Thordarson, managed both Stoke City and Crewe Alexandra.
Johannesson has already made two appearances for the Icelandic under-21 side
Norrköping are aware of the interest in the youngster and are reconciled to the fact that they are likely to lose him sooner rather than later. At the same time are well-funded and are under no pressure to sell him.
