Chelsea full-back Emerson Palmieri is likely to leave the club in January and return to Italy.
The 26-year old is surplus to requirements following Ben Chilwell’s signing in the summer.
He was linked with a move in the summer but, in the end, no offers materialised, but both long-time admirers Juventus and Inter Milan, are considering making a move for him. Napoli area are also reported to be monitoring his situation.
Palmieri was signed from Roma in 2018, but he has never really established himself at Stamford Bridge, competing for the left-back spot with Marcos Alonso, with club captain César Azpilicueta also playing there on occasion. And that was even before the arrival of Chilwell.
He was born in Brazil and played for them at youth level, but obtained Italian citizenship three years ago, and switched his international allegiance to them. He has won 9 senior caps for his adopted country.
