Chelsea and Manchester United could be set for a transfer battle in January over Swiss midfielder Denis Zakaria.
The 23-year old, who currently plays in the Bundesliga for Borussia Mönchoengladbach is viewed by Chelsea as an alternative to Declan Rice, whilst United are looking for a replacement for Nemanja Matić.
He has not played since picking up a knee injury in March, but with him now working his way back to fitness, the battle for his signature could be about to hot-up.
Rated at £37 million, Liverpool are also reported to be tracking his situation.
He still has two years left on his current deal with the German club.
The defensive midfielder, who is of African origin, was born in Switzerland and made his full debut for the national side in 2016. He has since gone on to earn 28 caps, scoring three times for them.
