Barcelona may make a fresh attempt to sign Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum in January.
The 29-yer old is in the final year of his contract at Anfield, which means that he is free to talk with other clubs in the New Year.
There has been speculation that the club might be ready to offer him a new deal, but, to date, talks have come to nothing.
And the arrival of Thiago Álcantara at the club in the summer means that his first-team place is now under threat, although the Spaniard might miss the next few games after picking-up a knee injury during the Merseyside derby with Everton on Saturday.
Wijnaldum was linked with a move to Barcelona in the summer, and a reunion with former Netherlands team boss Ronald Koeman.
That came Liverpool, LFC, Premier League, Barcelona, La Ligato nothing, but now there are signs that the La Liga side are ready to make fresh attempts to entice Wijnaldum and former Manchester United forward Memphis Depay to the Nou Camp once the transfer window opens again.
