Chelsea are already making transfer pans for next summer, with Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland top of their wish list.
The 20-year old only joined Borussia Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg in January, but he continues to be wanted by top clubs all across Europe. He is believed to have a release clause of £63 million in his contract with the Bundesliga side.
Haaland was previously linked with a move to Manchester United before signing for Dortmund, However, having agreed a move with compatriot Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, a potential deal was vetoed by Executive Vice-Chairman because of the agents ‘fees involved, and the insistence of a release clause in his contract.
Frank Lampard has already boosted his attacking options by signing Timo Werner and Kai Havertz this summer, whilst a deal to bring Hakim Ziyech to the club was agreed in February.
However, he still wants to add Haaland to his forward line, with the striker demonstrating his prowess by scoring his first international hat-trick in Norway’s win over Romania in the Nations League last weekend.
