Inter Milan want to sign Sergio Agüero when his contract expires next summer.
The 32-year old Argentine is in the final year of his contract at the Etihad, and with the future of his compatriot Lautero Martínez once again the matter of some speculation, they have turned their attention to long-term target Agüero
The striker has previously spoken of his desire to return to Argentina once his contract at the Etihad comes to an end, but Inter are hoping they can tempt him with a two-year deal, with an option for a third, at an annual alary of £7 million a year.
Agüero has not played since picking up a knee injury against Burnley in June, and subsequently he underwent surgery. City are hopeful though the club’s record scorer may be available for a return to action later this month, and they want him available for their Champions League campaign.
