Two Arsenal youngsters have joined League One clubs on loan.
Goalkeeper Deyan Illiev has joined Shrewsbury Town on loan, despite provisionally being named in their Europa League squad which was submitted to UEFA.
The 25-year old joined the Gunners 8 years ago, but has never made a senior appearance for them, and has only been named on the bench a few times, The most recent time that occurred was in 2019 in Baku for the Europa League final, where he was third choice keeper behind Petr Cech and Bernd Leno.
Last season he had two loan spells with SKF Sered of Slovakia, and the Polish side Jagielino.
Meanwhile, 21-year old defender Tolaji Bola has joined Rochdale. A regular for Arsenal’s under-23 team, he has been sent on loan so that he can gain experience of first-team football.
Both loan spells are until the end of January, although there are options to extend them until the end of the season.
