Barcelona are hoping to secure a late deal to sign defender Eric García from Manchester City before the transfer window closes on Monday night.
The 19-year old Spanish international began his career with the Catalan club, where he was a product of their La Masia academy system, before making the switch to Manchester City in 2017.
He has made no secret of his wish to return to Barcelona when his current contract ends, and ahs turned down all offers of a new contact with City.
He ahs made 25 appearances for City in all competitions, including 14 in the Premier League, but his first-team chances at the Etihad are likely to be limited this season following the signings of Nathan Aké from Bournemouth, and Rúben Dias from Benfica.
City want £30 million for him which is a lot for a player in the last year of his contract and have yet to receive a suitable offer from Barcelona.
