No more incomings expected at City

Manchester City do not expect to sign any more players before the transfer window closes on Monday night.

On Tuesday, defender Rúben Dias joined the club from Benfica in a deal worth £62 million, with add-ons worth a potential £3.2 million more, He joins fellow defender Nathan Aké, who signed from Bournemouth, and winger Ferran Torres, who joined the club from Valencia, as new recruits at the club, but Pep Guardiola is not expecting any more arrivals.

That is despite links with Ajax left-back Nicolas Taglliafico, or suggestions that City may want to boost their striking options, with both Sergio Agüero and Gabriel Jesus both currently injured.

Guardiola when asked about more signings said “I think it will be over”.

However, he has not ruled out more departures from the Etihad, either on loan, or on a permanent deal, before the transfer window finally slams shut.
