Liverpool are in talks with Barcelona over a season long loan for Ousmane Dembélé.
The winger moved to the Catalans in 2017 from Borussia Dortmund in a deal that could be worth up to £135 million, but he has had a nightmare time with injuries since his arrival in Spain, and missed almost the whole of last season with a serious hamstring issue,
He is now fit again, but Barcelona are concerned about his relative lack of development given the money pai for him. They would prefer a permanent sale but realise that may be difficult in the current market, and are instead willing to listen to offers for a loan arrangement.
There have also been suggestions that Manchester United may be looking at the 23-year old as an alternative to Jadon Sancho, but sources close to the club insist those rumours are unfounded.
