Spartak Moscow want to sign Spurs right-back Serge Aurier.
The Ivorian has lost his first-team place in North London this season since the arrival of Matt Doherty from Wolves and has yet to play a single minute of football in the current campaign.
He has been an unused substitute in both league games, and also in their Europa League tie last week away in Bulgaria at Lokomotiv Plovdiv.
Aurier has been linked with a move to Serie A, with AC Milan in particular expressing an interest in signing him. Despite this, Spartak are increasingly confident that they can secure a deal for the £20 million valued player before transfer deadline day.
The 27-year old was signed from PSG three years ago, and last season was the starting right-back under Jose Mourinho.
He has made 83 appearances for Spurs in all competitions, scoring eight times. Aurier has been capped 62 times by the Ivory Coast.
