Arsenal’s German defender Shkodran Mustafi is being linked with both Lazio and Napoli.
The Gunners are willing to sell the 28-year old, who is now in the final year of his current contract, although he is currently injured, still recovering from the knee problem that ruled him out of the FA Cup final.
He joined the North London side in August 2016 for a fee of £35 million, but Arsenal know that they cannot expect get anything like that for him, and there are suggestions he could be allowed to leave for as little as £11 million.
One stumbling block though may be his wages. He is believed to earn £4 million a year with Arsenal, and the best that Lazio can offer him, who are prepared to give him a five-year contract, is £2.3 million a year plus bonuses.
Mustafi has previous experience of Italia football, having played for Sampdoria between 2012 and 2014.
