Record-signing Tanguy Ndombélé is staying at Spurs.
The 23-year old endured a difficult first season in North London after signing from Lyon last summer, and had a difficult relationship with Jose Mourinho, who, on more than one occasion, criticised both his form and fitness.
He had been linked with a move to Serie A this summer, with both Inter Milan and Juventus reported to be interested in him. Ndombélé was wanted by Antonio Conte at Inter as an alternative to their main target, N’Golo Kanté, whilst Juventus were prepared to offer either Douglas Costa or Federico Bernardeschi in exchange.
However, after clear the air talks with Mourinho, the French midfielder is staying with Tottenham.
It was Ndombélé who bundled in a late winner for Spurs on Thursday night as they came from behind to beat Bulgarian side Lokomotiv Plovdiv in their Europa League qualifier, sparing their blushes on a difficult evening.
