Real Madrid and Spain left-back Sergio Reguilón is on the verge of completing a move to Spurs.
He has travelled to London for a medical and to complete the formalities ahead of a transfer worth up to £25 million, with add-ons included.
And it now looks increasingly likely he will be joined at the club by current teammate Gareth Bale, who is finalising his own loan move to Tottenham.
Reguilón has been linked with a number of other clubs this summer, with both Manchester United and Chelsea amongst the sides reported to have shown an interest in him.
However, Spurs now appear to have won the race to sign the 23-year old who spent last season on loan with Sevilla, and helped them win the Europa League in Cologne last month.
He made his senior international debut earlier this month in Spain’s 4 – 0 home defeat of Ukraine in the Nations League.
