Manchester United are ready to end their pursuit of Jadon Sancho.
The 20-year-old England winger has been there top transfer target this summer, and they were confident of landing a deal for him, with the player himself having agreed personal terms on a move to Old Trafford.
However, they remain as far apart as ever from Borussia Dortmund when it comes to agreeing a valuation for the player, with the Bundesliga side holding out for £108 million and United believing that a figure near £80 million is a fairer price in the current market.
They have also been annoyed that Dortmund will not negotiate directly with them but insist on the use of intermediaries.
United are aware that time is running out I they want to secure other transfer targets, and now they may be on the point of deciding that it is time to forget about signing Sancho, at least in the current window.
