Olivier Giroud is open to joining Juventus on a two-year contract.
The Italian champions are in the market for a new striker after they decided to cancel the contract of Gonzalo Higuaín, who is now going to join the MLS Inter Miami franchise owned by David Beckham.
Top of their list is Luiz Suárez, who is being allowed to leave Barcelona, However, if they cannot get him, then Giroud is regarded as a credible alternative.
Giroud signed a one-year contract extension at Chelsea in May, but he knows that he faces severe competition for his place from both newly signed Timo Werner, and young g England striker Tammy Abraham.
The 33-year old Frenchman was previously linked with a move to Italy and Inter Milan in January, but that fell through because of Frank Lampard’s limited striking options at the time.
However, Giroud may be keen on a move now because he knows that, with the European Championships coming up at the end of the season, he needs to be playing regular first-team football if he wants to be in the France squad.
