Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori is set to join Everton on a season-long loan.
The 22-year old has attracted interest from a number of clubs including Newcastle and Rennes, but Everton have emerged as the favourites to take the man who played under Frank Lampard on loan at Derby.
When Lampard took over at Stamford Bridge, he drafted Tomori into his first-team set-up, and his form was good enough to earn him an England cap against Kosovo last November.
However, he then fell out of favour, and did not play a single minute for the first team after lockdown.
With Thiago Silva now a new arrival at Stamford Bridge, his first-team chances ahead of the new season are likely to be limited, but it is better he goes somewhere he might play regularly.
Tomori signed a five-year deal with Chelsea last December and they continue to view him as a prospect for the future.
