Spurs have been linked with a £13 million move for Watford midfielder Will Hughes.
The North London side have already brought in Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Matt Doherty and free transfer Joe Hart, and now Hughes could be the next new face at the club.
Hughes is the latest player rumoured to be ready to leave Watford, who are struggling to hold on to their best players following their relegation to the Championship at the end of last season.
The 25-year old joined the Hornets from Derby County in 2017, and ahs made 87 appearances for them, scoring 6 times. Part of his appeal to Spurs is his versatility – he can play in a variety of midfield positions and he would also boost their homegrown quota of players.
The North London side may not have finished their business for the summer as well. They continue to look for a back-up striker for Harry Kane, and Brentford’s Ollie Watkins is the latest name associated with them.
However, his £25 million price tag may be a deterrent.
