One of the forgotten man at Chelsea, Michy Batshuayi, is set to be offered a new deal with the club.
The Stamford Bridge side are ready to offer him the new contract to ensure that he does not leave the club on a free transfer when his current deal with them expires next summer.
The plan, once he has signed the new deal which will see a bump up in his wages, is that he will then be sent out on loan, in the hope that he can boost his value by playing well for another team.
Crystal Palace, Newcastle United, and newly-promoted West Bromwich Albion are all reported to be interested in the Belgian striker.
He has played for Palace and did well in a previous loan spell, and they would appear to be the favourites to secure his services again. However, one complication is that they are also interested in a temporary deal for Chelsea youngster Conor Gallagher, and Premier League rules do not allow a club to have two players on loan from the same club simultaneously.
