Mesut Ozil has been offered a deal worth £15 million a year to join Saudi club Al-Nassr
The Riyad-based side would like to sign him this summer, but, if he chooses to see out the final year of his contract at the Emirates, will look to sign him on a free transfer next year.
Ozil has been out in the cold at the Gunners since the lockdown, after his refusal to accept the pay-cut engineered with the rest of the first-team hierarchy and the club’s executives.
He has been ostracised by Mikel Arteta, and is currently training with former teammate, and close friend, Matteo Flamini, who now plays for Getafe in Spain.
Arsenal would dearly love him to move on in order to get his £350,000 week wages off their books, although his agent has always insisted that he intends to honour his contract, even if that means a year without playing football.
