Wolves are closing in on a deal to sign Ainsley Maitland-Niles from Arsenal.
The versatile defender and midfielder has been told he can leave the Gunners, against the wishes of manager Mikel Arteta, as the club looks to raise funds by selling off some of its squad players.
That means that Maitland-Niles, who starred for Arsenal in their FA Cup winning run, will be allowed to leave the club he joined as a six-year-old.
Everton and Newcastle are both reported to be interested, and Brighton are also considering whether to make a move for the England under-21 international.
However, it mow looks like Wolves will win the race to sign him, and he is set to sign a four-year deal with the Midlands club, although no fee has yet been disclosed.
