Reports suggest that up to ten players could be allowed to leave the club, including four defenders, four midfielders and two forwards.
Amongst those linked with a departure from the Emirates are defenders Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Rob Holding and Calum Chambers, whilst Alexander Lacazette and Lucas Torreira are likely to be sold.
Matteo Guendouzi will also leave the club after publicly falling out with Arteta.
The club would also dearly love to get rid of Mesut Ozil, but the former German international has reiterated his intention to stay at the club and see out the last year of his £350,000 a week contract.
Arteta has assumed a greater role in Arsenal’s transfer strategy following the departure of the club’s head of football Raul Sanllehi last weekend. He will now be working closely with Technical Director Edu to decide who he ants to bring in, and who he wants to leave the club.
