Tottenham have made an enquiry to Liverpool about the possibility of taking striker Rihan Brewster on loan for next season, as they seek a back-up to Harry Kane.
Brewster has yet to make his Premier League debut for Liverpool, but he had a successful loan spell in the Championship with Swansea City last season, scoring 11 goals in 22 appearances.
That form has seen a number of Premier League clubs express an interest in acquiring the services of the England under-21 international, including Aston Villa, Burnley, Brighton, Crystal Palace, and Newcastle United, but Spurs may now be at the front of the queue.
Jurgen Klopp has yet to decide if Brewster’s immediate future lies at Anfield or out on loan at another club again next season.
However, if he is sent on loan, Liverpool want guarantees that Brewster will get regular first-team football, something Spurs, with their multiple cup commitments, should be able to provide.
