Manchester United are considering making a move for Douglas Costa as they weigh up alternatives to Jadon Sancho.
The 29-year old is currently with Serie A champions, having had previous spells with Shakhtar Donetsk and Bayern Munich, but could be surplus to requirements in Turin as Andrea Pirlo looks to re-model his squad.
Sancho remains the number one target for United in the transfer market, but progress on any deal remains slow, with Dortmund playing hard ball over price, with the English side someway off their £109 million valuation for the player. They are also insisting that United negotiate through an intermediary, which is adding to the delays.
Costa is a fast and speedy winger, known for his dribbling skills, although his poor injury record may count against him in the eyes of United.
He has played for the Brazil national side 31 times and won the South American under-20 Championship with them back in 2009.
