Former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is now the favourite to take over at Barcelona.
Current incumbent Quique Setién seems certain to be sacked after the Catalans humiliation at the hands of Bayern Munich in the Champions League. And, although former players Ronald Koeman and Xavi have both been linked with the job, it is Pochettino who is most likely to take over at the Camp Nou.
Pochettino has been out of work since being sacked by Spurs last November but, having completed a period of gardening leave, is keen to get back into football once more.
The 48-year-old, who formerly played for and managed city rivals Espanyol had previously said he would never take charge at Barcelona, but he has since backtracked on those comments.
Pochettino was spotted having dinner with Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu, days before the disaster in Lisbon, and it will fall to him to begin rebuilding the side once again.
