Tottenham left-back Ryan Sessegnon has been linked with a number of clubs who want to take him on loan ahead of next season.
The 20-year old joined Spurs from Fulham last year in a £25 million deal but has failed to make a major impression in North London so far, although injuries have hampered his progress.
He appeared in just 8 Premier League matches last season, usually as a substitute, and although Jose Mourinho has praised his potential., he seems reluctant to use him.
Both Ajax and former club Fulham, newly promoted back to the Premier League, want to take him on loan for the following campaign, and now they have been joined by Newcastle United.
Another Tottenham full-back, Danny Rose, spent the second half of last season on loan at St. James Park and, although Newcastle would like to keep him, he is reported to prefer a switch to Leeds United.
Sessegnon fits Newcastle manager Steve Bruce’s preference for British players when it comes to potential new recruits.
