Arsenal’s Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira has been linked with a return to Italy this summer.
He joined the Gunners from Sampdoria in 2018, and, after impressing during his first season with the club, found it harder going last campaign, with his role less defined under Unai Emery, and then injury impeding his progress.
That saw his first-team opportunities limited towards the end of the season, and now, with the Gunners looking to raise funds to help secure their summer transfer targets, they are willing to sell him.
Fiorentina are interested in signing him, but the current favourites to snap him up are AC Milan.
Arsenal will be hoping to recoup a decent fee for a player who is under contract until 2023 and is still only 24 years old.
The Gunners themselves have been heavily lined with a move for Atlético Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey and also are hoping to secure the services of Dani Ceballos for another season, with a further loan from Real Madrid in the offing, with an option to buy.
