FA Cup winners Arsenal are the favourites to sign former Liverpool midfielder Phillipe Coutinho on loan for next season.
The Brazilian has spent the past season on loan in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich, and although they have an option to buy hi, they are very unlikely to exercise it, and he will return to his parent club Barcelona.
He is not wanted there either, and they had hoped to sell him this summer for a fee of around €80 million (£72 million) but the coronavirus crisis has put paid to that, and now another loan move for the 28 year old seems on the cards.
Coutinho has been offered to a number of clubs, including Tottenham, but it is their North London rivals who are favourite to sign him. Barcelona would pay half of his weekly wages of £235,000, although the Gunners would need to pay a loan fee of £9 million in addition.
