Inter Milan have begun talks with Spurs over a deal to sign French midfielder Tanguy Ndombélé.
The 23-year old was signed from Lyon last summer for club record fee of £55 million, but has failed to settle in North London, making only 12 starts for the club. There have been problems with his fitness and Jose Mourinho has also raised questions about his attitude.
Now Spurs are ready to let hm go and are prepared to accept £45 million for Ndombélé, which represents a substantial discount on what they paid for hi.
That may be more than Inter are ready to offer though, and there have been suggestions that Slovakian defender Milan Ŝkriniar could form part of a swap deal, with Spurs looking to replace the departed Jan Vertonghen.
Winger Ivan Perišić could also form part of a swap arrangement, although he could be headed to Manchester United as part of the deal to make Alexis Sanchez’s loan to Inter permanent.
