Arsenal tipped to move for Portugal winger

Joelson Fernandes, who has been dubbed as the new “Cristiano Ronaldo”.

The 17-year old had trained sporadically with the Sporting team prior to the lockdown, but has since made his debut for the club, and now has three senior appearances under his belt.

Despite his inexperience, he is already being tracked by clubs across Europe, and is on the radar of both Barcelona and Juventus. Sporting themselves want to extend his contract until 2025 and double his current release clause of €45 million (£40 million).

That has prompted Arsenal to consider making a move now before his price goes up.

Gunners fans might not be surprised to learn though that Fernandes is a client of Super-Agent Kia Joorabchain, who is close to the Arsenal hierarchy, head of football Raul Sanllehi.
