Jurgen Klopp has said that he wants to leave Liverpool.
However, before fans of the newly crowned Premier League champions panic, that will only be when his current contract with the club comes to an end in 2024.
The German side his latest contract extension last December, and intends to fully see out his term with the club before returning to his native Germany, when he intends to take a sabbatical of a year out of the game. He has, however, downplayed suggestions that he hopes one day to manage the German national team, or that he has a job with any Bundesliga side in mind.
The 53-year old has previously spoken of the mental and physical pressures involved in managing a top club, so the news that he intends to take some time off comes as no surprise.
However, until then, he remains fully committed to the task in hand, as he looks to add more trophies to the Anfield cabinet room.
