Borussia Dortmund are on the verge of winning the race to secure the services of Birmingham City midfielder Jude Bellingham.
The 17-year-old has been courted by clubs across Europe, with Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid all interested whilst Manchester United went so far as to arrange a private tour of their training ground for Bellingham and his parents.
However, Dortmund appear to have edged out the competition, in part because they have been able to point out the example of Jadon Sancho and their willingness to offer Bellingham a sure fire route into their first team.
Although the deal has yet to be finalised, it is believed that Bellingham, who has just turned 17, will sign a five-year deal with the Bundesliga side.
Birmingham will receive a fee of more than £21 million for their prized asset, even though he has not yet signed a professional fee with the club.
