Instead he could be set for a move back to Spain and Valencia when his time at Stamford Bridge comes to an end.
Chelsea forward Pedro’s summer move to Roma could be off, after a behind the scenes row at the Serie A club over transfer policy.
Pedro, who is available on a free transfer this summer, was heavily linked with a move to the Serie A, but a dispute between Sporting Director Gianluca Petrachi and majority shareholder James Pallota has now thrown that into doubt. Petrachi was heavily advocating the transfer, whilst Pallota is opposed to any signings at present because of the club’s financial situation.
The former Spanish international has now been offered to Valencia, although there again, there are financial constraints, and their budget for next season will be determined by where they finish in La Liga. They are currently seventh in the table and four points off a Champions League spot.
