Manchester United to plot move for Jamaican star

Manchester United are on the lookout for a new winger and so far the Red Devils have been linked with Jack Grealish and Jadon Sancho, however, they have other options elsewhere and it lies in the Bundesliga.

According to a report in The Daily Mail United are looking on securing the services of 22-year old Leon Bailey at Bayer Leverkusen and it could cost the northern English side £40million.

Bailey has three years left on his current contract at the German side but could cost less than the £40million already mentioned as they have been hit financially as a result of COVID-19.

The former Genk man has had a decent season so far playing in 27 games and scoring 7 goals for The Company’s Eleven.

The Jamaican has also featured six times for his country whilst scoring one time in a 6-0 win against Antigua and Barbuda.

He certainly has a lot of potential about him, but if United are looking for quick-fix they should probably pursue Jack Grealish or Jadon Sancho, but going with Leon Bailey, the youngster will probably need time to adapt to the Premier League and that is something Manchester United can’t afford if they want to return to being one of Europe’s elite.
