Arsenal’s top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is attracting interest from a lot of Europe’s top clubs as Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will try his best to keep the Gabon international at the North-London club.
According to The Daily Mail Arsenal could drop their asking price from £50million to £35million once the transfer window reopens as Aubameyang has just one year left on his contract.
However Mikel Arteta will not let him leave without trying to convince him to stay and last week it was said by Aubameyang that he is in talks for a new deal with Arsenal as he spoke to Telefoot
“Recently I haven’t received an offer but of course there have been discussions with the club for a fair few months now,
“And they know very well why so far nothing has happened. It’s them [the club] who have the keys and for them to do their work. Afterwards we will see how things go.”
Aubameyang continued
“It is a turning point in my career, and I will be very frank with everyone, it will be of course a very difficult decision to make because I have still not decided.
“It is possibly the most important decision of my career. To be clear, nothing has been decided.”
It looks like The Gunners have some hope of getting him to sign a new deal, however he will be turning 31 on the 18th of June and may want to secure a big move away as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan and Chelsea are said to be interested in the 20-goal hitman.
Arsenal fans will be praying he can sign back on and possibly see out his career with them, but only time will tell whether they get their wish.
