N’Golo Kanté has been linked with a summer move to Real Madrid.
It comes after reports in the Spanish press that suggest that the West London club may have to sell players in order to sell players in order to fund their transfer business.
They have already bought winger Hakim Ziyech from Ajax, and agreed to meet the release clause of Timo Werner from RB Leipzig, and that may not be the end of their transfer activity, with moves for Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell and Bayern Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz also being pursued.
Madrid have been long-term admirers of Kanté from his Real Madrid days, and may be willing to pay up to £71 million for a player who still has three years left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge.
Kanté has recently returned to full training with Chelsea after initially staying at home because of concerns over the coronavirus.
