Barcelona are demanding a loan fee of £9 million from any Premier League club that wants to take former Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho on loan.

That means that he is free to return to the Nou Camp, but he is not wanted their either, with the Spanish club willing to take a hefty discount on the £142 million they paid Liverpool for him in January 2018.
However, given the financial constraints facing football now, it is unlikely anybody will offer the Catalans the sort of money that they want for the 27 year old, and even the loan fee will be too steep for many of his suitors who include Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal.
