West Ham are interested in taking Chelsea flop Tiemoué Bakayoko on a season-long loan.
The 25 year old midfielder was signed by the Stamford Bridge outfit for £40 million from Monaco in 2017, but endured a difficult time in London, and was derided by the club’s fans for a series of below par performances and high profile errors.
After just one season he was loaned out to AC Milan where he initially struggled, before he turned things round and showed the form that made Chelsea want him in the first place.
However, they failed to exercise their option to buy and he returned to London, only for him to be promptly loaned out again, this time to former side Monaco. That spell has come to an end though, with the cancellation of the French season, but, although he is under contract until 2022, he does not figure in Frank Lampard’s plans for next season.
A move across town to East London for a season on loan might suit all parties.
