Manchester United have held talks with representatives of Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot about a summer move to Old Trafford.
The 25 year old French International moved to the Serie A champions last summer on a free transfer after leaving Paris Saint Germain, but has struggled for first-team opportunities under manager Maurizio Sarri.
He is also reported to have had a serious falling out with team management and gone on strike after refusing to accept a 25% cut in his wages imposed on him because of the financial problems facing the club in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
Now they are prepared to put him on the transfer list, and Premier League clubs are amongst the first to show an interest, with Manchester United leading the chase, although both Arsenal and Everton are monitoring his situation.
However the transfer demands of Juventus might scupper any deal for him, with Juventus wanting up to £27 million for Rabiot.
