Arsenal are considering swapping striker Alexander Lacazette with Atlético Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey.
They have been keen on Ghanaian international Partey for some time, whilst Lacazette has been a target for the Spanish club in the past.
And now the Gunners could be willing to part with the 28 year old striker after pictures emerged of him on social media apparently inhaling “hippy crack” a nitrous oxide gas used by dentists as a painkiller.
It is not illegal to use of possess it in the UK, but it can cause serious side effects, and Lacazette and several of his teammates had been warned before about using it after being pictured in a London nightclub two years ago apparently worse for wear after inhaling it.
Now Lacazette not only faces disciplinary action from the club but his latest misdemeanour could be enough to persuade them to let the Frenchman go, with Partey heading in the opposite direction.
