Arsenal have been linked with a move for Feyenoord midfielder Orkun Kökçü, who has been described as the potential successor to Mesut Ozil and, like him is of Turkish descent.
The 19 year old joined the Feyenoord academy in 2014, making his senior debut four years later. He has since gone on to make 29 appearances scoring five times, as well as providing 6 assists in the season that has just finished.
Although born in the Netherlands and playing for them at youth level, he has since declared his international allegiance to Turkey and has won two caps for the under-21 side.
Presently he plays predominantly in central midfield, but he has been tipped to move further up the pitch and occupy the playmaker spot currently filled by Ozil at the Emirates.
He is under contract until 2023, but has informed the Eredivisie side he wants to leave, with Feyenoord apparently prepared to sell him for financial reasons.
