Roma could be ready to offer Alexis Sanchez a lifeline in the summer.
The Chilean has endured a miserable time on the field since joining Manchester United from Arsenal in January 2018, scoring just five times in 45 appearances for them.
At the start of this season, he joined Inter Milan on loan, but his spell with the Nerazzurri has not gone any better – he has scored just once in 15 appearances for the Serie A side, and seems certain to return to Old Trafford in the summer, despite the Italians having an option to buy.
He is not believed to have any future at Old Trafford, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ready to sell him, and now Roma could be on hand to offer him an escape route, although it could mean another loan deal for the Chilean.
Roma were reportedly interested in Sanchez last summer before Inter Milan stepped in, and will be hoping that a change of scene can help rediscover the form that made him one of the best players in the Premier League during his time with the Gunners.
