Angel di Maria, the Argentine winger who flopped during his one season at Manchester United has been offered back to the club, along with German international, Julian Draxler, as part of a swap deal for Paul Pogba.
PSG, di Maria’s current club, want to bring Pogba to Paris, and with the French World Cup Winner long being linked with a move away from old Trafford, United may be willing to sell him and relieve the pressure ono their wage bill in the new economic reality of a post Covid-19 world.
Although United failed to get the best of out of di Maria, who was signed for a then record fee when Louis van Gaal was manager of the club, the Argentine, who has played more than 100 times for his country, has been a success at all the other clubs he has played for, including Benfica, Real Madrid and now PSG.
Draxler, who has previously been linked with moves to both Arsenal and Tottenham, has 52 full international caps for Germany.
