The future of right-back Serge Aurier at Spurs could be in doubt after he was caught flouting the UK government’s rules on social distancing and exercise for a second time.
Earlier this week he was spotted training alongside teammate Moussa Sissoko. That followed another incident in a North London park a few weeks ago, when he was one of several Tottenham players pictured taking part in an impromptu outdoor session, along with manager Jose Mourinho.
After the latest infringement, both players have been forced to make a public apology, and make a donation to the NHS.
And that could well signal the beginning of the end for the Ivorian, with the club losing patience with him, despite him being a regular starter under Mourinho. They are looking to strengthen the right-back area in the summer, with Norwich’s Max Aaron a potential transfer target.
Given they may need to sell first before buying, Aurier could find himself heading for the exit.
