Having been closely linked with a move for PSG left-back Layvin Kurzawa in January, Arsenal were believed to be on the verge of making him their first transfer of this summer.
However, all that has now been thrown in the air with news that the French league champions have had a rethink and now want to keep him.
The 27 year old is out of contract with the Ligue 1 side in June, and therefore, available for free, making him an attractive proposition for the cash strapped Gunners. He has been only an intermittent starter under Thomas Tuchel this season with Juan Bernat preferred ahead of him, and it was widely thought he wanted to move on to resurrect his stuttering career.
However, PSG have now had a change of mind and want to keep him at the club, with sporting director Leonardo set to begin talks on a contract extension with the player’s representatives.
