AC Milan have decided not to pursue their interest in Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana.
The 31 year old is out of contract at Anfield in June, after six years at the club, is ready to move on after becoming a peripheral figure under Jurgen Klopp, making just three Premier League appearances so far this season.
There had been suggestions that he could follow the example of players like Chris Smalling and Ashley Young by moving to Serie A, but, it will not be to join Milan.
That is because, having carefully considered the issue, they do not believe he would significantly strengthen their squad in any way.
One of the factors counting against Lallana is his injury record. He has missed a lot of football in recent years, and Milan do not think it worth the risk to sign a player that is likely to spend a fair amount of time in the treatment room.
