AC Milan want to reignite their interest in Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira.
That comes after they considered a move for him last summer, but, at that time, Arsenal had no interest in signing him.
The Uruguayan international arrived at the Emirates in a £26 million move from Sampdoria, but struggled to adapt to life in London, and favoured a move back to Italy. He also became unhappy under Unai Emery, after being played out of position. Signed as a defensive midfielder, he was often deployed much further up the pitch by the Spaniard, failing to utilise his talents to their utmost.
However, he appears to have settled under Mikel Arteta and was playing some of his best football when injured on FA Cup duty against Portsmouth.
Milan though are still interested in the 24 year old, and want to make a move when the transfer window opens, though they may struggle to match the Gunners’ £40 million valuation of the player.
