England midfielder Jesse Lingard wants to stay at Manchester United and fight for his place, despite reports linking him with a move to Arsenal or Everton.
The 27 year old has struggled at Old Trafford this season, scoring just twice in 35 appearances, and, with the arrival of Bruno Fernandes at the club in January there were some who felt that his days at the club he joined as a six year old were numbered.
Speculation was further fuelled when he signed with super-agent Mino Raiola, with suggestions he had been hired to engineer a move for his new client.
However, although United would not be averse from selling him, and using the funds raised to swell their summer transfer kitty, he refuses to be pushed out of the door, and hopes to convince his manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that he is worth his place.
The Norwegian has clashed swords with Lingard on several occasions, and his warned him about his off-field activities and use of social media.
