Arsenal have been linked with a move for defender Unai Núñez who plays for Athletic Bilbao.
The 23 year old centre-back was linked with a move to West Ham in January, but now it is their London rivals who have turned their attention to him.
The 6 foot 1 inch defender has come through the ranks at Bilbao and has made 69 appearances in all for the La Liga side, including 18 in all competitions this season.
Strong, good in the air, he is a firm tackler and is rarely beaten on the ground, He has reportedly been a player that Mikel Arteta has been interested in for some time and was rated at £25 million 9although pre-pandemic prices may not be a good indication of current value).
However, whether some sections of the Arsenal fan base will be happy to see another Spaniard named Unai at the club so soon after the last one left is another question altogether!
